Replacing media
Swap a scene’s image or video while preserving its place in the edit, including presenter layouts.

#Replace a scene
A replacement keeps the target scene’s time slot. It does not insert extra narration or make a new independent media track. Images and videos may replace one another.
Select the target
Click the image or video block in the Media lane. The side panel shows the selected clip and its In and Out times.
Choose a source
In Media, open Uploads, Project, or Stock. Use Videos or Images to narrow a library, or search the Stock tab.
Choose the replacement
Click a library item to swap it into the selected scene. You can also drag an image or video directly onto the target media block.
Review the scene
Wait for the replacement to finish, then play the scene and the cuts on either side. Use Undo if the result is not what you wanted.
#Replace media beside a presenter
In a split-screen scene or a scene with a presenter in the corner, selecting a replacement changes the supporting image or video. The presenter, its placement, and the scene timing remain in place.
For example, if a presenter appears beside a product photograph, choose the new product image through Media. You can use video instead of the photograph without replacing the presenter.
#Reuse something already in the video
The Project tab lets you reuse an existing project visual. You can also right-click a timeline clip, choose a copy action, select another clip, and choose Paste here.
Copy clip includes the available media and graphic, plus its transition when present. Copy image only copies the underlying image or footage; Copy graphic only copies its designed graphic. Paste uses the destination clip’s time slot.
- Copy a clip before trying to paste.
- Select a different target clip; pasting onto the source clip is disabled.
- On touch screens, press and hold a clip to open the same menu.
#Clear a visual without moving the story
Right-click a media clip and choose Remove media, or select it and press Delete or Backspace. This leaves its time slot empty so you can choose a replacement. It does not close the gap or remove the narration.
Before rendering, refill empty slots from Media or use Undo to restore the removed visual. To remove only a graphic that sits over footage, select its Graphics block and use Remove overlay instead.
