#Creating a video
Do I need a prerecorded voiceover?
No. Paste or import a finished script and select a narrator. You can also attach your own audio or talking-head recording.
Can I enter a topic instead of a finished script?
The composer is a script input: its words become the narration. Prepare the script you want spoken rather than relying on a short topic or production brief to become a complete narration.
Why is Create video unavailable?
Check that your script is long enough or a valid recording is attached. Hosted videos need 6–40 minutes of material. A niche, language confirmation, narrator, or presenter may also be required before the final confirmation.
Can I combine an uploaded voiceover with a photo presenter?
Yes. Attach the audio, enable AI presenter, and choose a presenter. The audio remains the narration.
Why is Pro unavailable?
Pro requires Web footage. Enable that source to select Pro, or keep Standard for a build without web footage.
#Voices and languages
Does a custom voice generate a preview as soon as I save it?
No. A preview is prepared when you press Play. It is saved for reuse. Changing voice settings and pressing Play again prepares a sample for those settings when needed.
Why does my library voice sample sound unchanged after tuning it?
The library plays a supplied preview sample. Voice settings affect generated narration; custom voice previews can demonstrate the changed settings.
Can I translate a completed video?
The Translate video shortcut is currently marked SOON. Creating a new script-based video in another supported language is available through the composer’s language selection.
Does choosing another language translate my uploaded audio?
No. For a recording, select the language actually spoken so captions are handled correctly. Use a script in the desired output language, or script translation during creation, for a new narrated video.
#Projects and publishing
Can I close the tab while Kinema builds?
Yes, after the upload and project creation finish and you reach build progress. Return from Projects. Enable Build ready emails if you want a notification.
Should I create a new project when a build fails?
Open the existing project and review the message. Use Resume project when offered so completed work can be reused where possible. Contact Support if the same failure returns.
Does changing a brand profile change old videos?
No. Profiles set creation defaults. Videos already built keep their look; use the editor to change an existing video.
Can I add a QR code?
Yes. Upload the QR image in the editor’s Overlays panel, add it to the timeline, and position or resize it over the video preview.
Are all generated videos ready to publish without review?
Review the narration, visuals, captions, facts, and applicable media permissions before publishing. You remain responsible for the material and final video you publish.
